Toy Portrait Series Of Images

We’ve got a new series of images we’ve been working on. I’ve always loved the create images of people setting up, for example, Star Wars action figures into incredible scenes and photographing/editing them to look like some war scene or the like. I’ve seen Legos and other used the same way.

I thought it would be interesting to create a new series of images in our studio that is essentially doing portrait photography but giving the “toys” a more life like feel. Thus, our “Toy Portrait” Series has begun.

Some of these images we’ll release as prints, some limited in numbers, such as our black and white versions, but I am hoping we release a new one every week or two until we’re ready to move on or we feel there’s just no where else we can take it.

I’d love to get feedback on characters you might like to see!

I am a California based photographer located in Murphys, CA. My background is in advertising/marketing shooting photos and videos for companies. I also have been shooting weddings, events and more for over 20 years. I started shooting wedding photography about 20+ years ago. These projects led me into web development as I needed to know how to create fun and engaging websites to show my portfolio as well as helping clients get their photos online. I then got a degree in Marketing and began using my photo, video and web skills to develop online marketing and ad campaigns for clients. I started a number of online services, one of which is Gorilla Public, a marketing service that also teaches what we do. I didn't want to stop shooting photos or video and I started GPub Studios (Gorilla Public Studios) so that I could keep my photography going.
